Looking for a Horseback Riding Trip Close to Sun Valley or Stanley?
Situated in the heart of the Big Boulder Mountain Chain, our trail rides take place 23 miles north of Ketchum on Highway 75 across the highway from Galena Lodge (or on the left just after mile marker 151). Just 30 minutes north of Sun Valley, Idaho.
Our friendly guides will do their best to make this horseback ride the highlight of your visit to central Idaho. They know the history of the area and point out areas of interest along the way as you ride through towering evergreens, along with historic mining and logging trails in the Galena area. Galena Lodge is nearby for refreshments and meals, before and after your ride.
As you wind through the Boulder Mountains you will enjoy views of the Sawtooth Range. The Sawtooth Mountains are a breathtaking sight.
*Riding restrictions include anyone under 6 years of age and guests weighing over 250 pounds. Exceptions are sometimes made on weight if you are exceptionally tall. No refunds will be made if you cancel inside of 24 hours.
1.5 Hour Horseback Riding Trip
For vacationers that don't have a lot of time, our 1.5 hour trail rides are idea. The trail ride goes through towering pines into the old historic mining area at the townsite of Galena. You will be amazed by breathtaking views of wide-open spaces, beautiful streams, and a variety of Big Boulder Mountain wildlife. A wonderful ride for kids ages 6-8!

Half Day Horseback Rides Sun Valley
For travelers looking for a more extensive horseback ride, our half day trips are a great option. Ride along the Titus Creek and its spectacular canyon to Titus Lake, or take a historic adventure to the Miner's Cabin of the Boulder Mountains. Riders will have some time to get off your horse and enjoy the mountain air before you ride back to the corral.
Recommended for children 8 and up, the longer rides may not be a good idea if you have knee and hip issues.

Full Day Horseback Riding Trips Close to Sun Valley & Stanley, Idaho
This full day horseback riding trip is for experienced riders only!
We ride just below the highest peaks of the Boulder Mountains, up to the historic twin cabins where we will break for lunch. Then, if your group has enough riding experience (It is solely up to the Guide) on to a historic exploration of the Gladiator Mine, which produced silver in the late 1800s. If you want a slower pace we can do that as well. Just let us know what you would like to do and we will do our best to make a great memory. Each day ride is customized to the group’s adventurous spirit. Pictures from the mine coming soon

We are recreation service partners with the U.S. Forest Service operating with a special use permit in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area & Salmon-Challis National Forest. We are licensed and bonded outfitters and guides under license by the Idaho Outfitters and Guides Licensing Board.
Please arrive at ride locations 30 minutes before your ride time, and don't forget:
